Alexander Moissi was an Austrian stage actor of Albanian origin. Moisiu also served in the German Air Force during World War I and was taken prisoner in France. He was freed five months later through a prisoner exchange. Moissi later joined the Marxist Spartacus League during the German Revolution of 1918–1919.
