Review of Hard Target

I remember seeing a scene or so from this before. It looked so silly, but what do you expect from 90s action movies. I mean it has Jean-Claude Van Damme with a mullet and at some point he bites the rattle of a rattlesnack. It's going to be cheesy just knowing that. Then it's directed by amazing action director John Woo. This was actually his American film debut too! So despite the cheese it will have some great action sequences. Chuck Pfarrer has written some films from the 90s including The Jackal and Darkman. Those were pretty enjoyable. Anyways the main reason I decided to watch this is to watch the sequel that just came out. That's quite an opening. That's a pretty cool gun! Aw young Yancy Butler is adorable. Looks like she has always been sort of a cheesy actress though. Yep that's definitely a true statement. That doesn't seem like a smart thing to do! Way to not be creepy and assert that you a very much a villain. That was just mean spirited and unnecessary. The bit with the snake was hilarious. I have to say that is one badass looking shotgun. So this was pretty fun for a cheesy 90s action flick. It has the silly one-liners, goofy villains making rookie mistakes, and excellent action sequences. Wilford Brimley was amusing here and definitely one of the pluses for this. If you haven't seen this one yet go for it. It's worth at least a one time watch.

Post edit: I just realized that he never even went back to the dock or anything lol. I guess it no longer mattered once he was pulled into the whole scenario.ย
