Zoo Legacy is a band best described as the successful union of hip-hop and indie rock. ZL’s music isn’t characterized by any single tempo or song structure, but rather offers listeners variety. Whether an upbeat crowd pleaser, moody synth-driven rap, or thoughtful acoustic verse, the band’s music maintains a recognizable style that is unique to Zoo Legacy.
Currently unsigned, Zoo Legacy has released six singles on their website over the past year. The band has played to capacity crowds at local venues across Ottawa. They have gained substantial airplay on college radio throughout 2011 and have been featured on commercial radio. The band is currently working on releasing their second EP in the spring of 2012, while they continue to grow their fan base.
