She was credited for her earlier work by just her first name (Yuko), but has also gone by the alias pop'n. She usually worked with Setsuo Yamamoto.
During the CPS2 era, Takehara retained her ties with the Mega Man series and was even involved in the Street Fighter games and related spinoffs, including composing the themes for Charlie Nash and Rose. She was also involved with the first three VS. series titles, the lattermost of which she was lead composer. Other arcade titles she worked on include Star Gladiator and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. She married in late 1997.
Following the turn of the decade, Takehara had relatively fewer roles, but was still involved with music management for the company's "for Matching Service" releases for the Sega Dreamcast and the music for two GBA titles, including (and finishing with) the Four Swords Quest sub-game included in the GBA version of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Despite having left the company, Takehara is among those who contributed a Robot Master theme for Mega Man 10.
