Later she worked at a call center for some time before participating in a beauty pageant called "Shravan Queen 2009" organised by Times of India group. She won the 2nd runner up title. She quit her job in the call center to pursue a career in Media.
Yashashri got a call for an audition of a Marathi serial. She gave the audition and got selected for the role. After a successful stint in Marathi Television, she got a call from Swapna Waghmare-Joshi and Yash Patnaik who called her to audition for their show Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One. She cleared the audition and bagged the lead role of Khanak in the show, which brought her fame and much accolades.
Her second show had her playing the role of Princess Mrignayani in the Imagine TV's historical show Chandragupta Maurya. She opted out of the show due to lack of screen space in the male dominated historical drama.
She participated in Imagine TV's popular dance reality show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan where she was partnered with Mohit Malhotra of Bade Acche Lagte Hain fame. She has now signed a new show which will go on air soon but is being kept under wraps as for now.
