Born Jana Synková in Brno, Czechoslovakia. She began modelling in the mid-1990s. Her career took a turn toward the east when she married Indian artist Satyakam Gupta in Pune and changed her last name from Synkova to Gupta. She divorced Satyakam Gupta and in 2008 she altered her given name to Yana or Yaana. Before her career in Bollywood, she modeled for international clients like Calvin Klein and Victoria's Secret. Hand-in-hand with her physical charms is unrivaled intellect, and a knowledge of English, Czech, Hindi, Spanish, and Japanese.
