Heaven Sent was the eleventh episode of the ninth series of Doctor Who produced by BBC Wales, and the first part of its two-part finale.

The episode shows the Doctor dealing with and grieving over the death of his latest companion, whom he lost in the previous episode. The vast majority of the episode includes just Peter Capaldi by himself as the Twelfth Doctor, with no other characters present save the veiled figure that menaces him throughout. The Doctor's TARDIS is also absent from this episode, except in the Doctor's imagination. This episode also shows what has been referenced a few times - what is the Doctor like when he's all alone?
