Portrait of film noir femme fatale Savage, who would soon star in DETOUR. Her career at Columbia lasted all of eighteen months, and studio portraits of her, like this one, are phenomenally rare; this one especially so, as it depicts bondage. Studio snipe credits โTWO MAN SUBMARINEโ and Columbia stamp credits photographer Tad Gillum. Some bumping and cracking at top margin and one small crack at right margin and lower margin; tiny hairline wrinkle in background near her right cheek. But it will be impossible to find another example of this photo, or, for that matter, almost any studio portrait of Savage.
