During the 1990s, much was said about a supposed rivalry between Princess Diana and Princess Anna, to which Princess Diana responded:

The enormous admirer. I don’t cross her path, but when she’s there I don’t bother her, and she never bothers me.
They said she and I didn’t get along. We get along incredibly well, but in our own way. I wouldn’t call her if I had a problem or go to lunch with her, but when I see her, she’s very pleasant. I find her way of thinking stimulating, I’m fascinated by it; she’s very independent and has followed her own path.
