Mr Armani with the Golden Lion in Murano glass received today from Luigi Brugnaro, the Mayor of Venice, to seal his deep bond with the cinema and Venice.
"This award inspires great joy and emotion in me. It is an important acknowledgement of my work, which I am delighted to receive on the occasion of the Eightieth Venice film festival and of One Night Only Venezia, an event I organised to pay tribute to the city to which I have been so strongly attached for many years" said Mr Armani.
