“…well I can’t have a show without a little high drama…” — L’Wren Scott’s grand finale at her AW 2012 collection, ‘Tea Time.’
Via an Instagram post last year, photographer Robert Fairer (@robert_fairer) discussed photographing this iconic moment: “At this collection Tea-Time, L'Wren asked me to walk onto the runway at the end of the show so that when she came out I could capture her strike a pose-with her girls behind {…}
I am pretty confident when my Vogue Editors saw me on the actual runway in the show, they were alarmed, and then thrilled I had the courage to do what it took to get the great shot, not knowing that I had been asked {…} it also meant all the photographers at the end of the runway had me blocking the shot as I waited for her to enter the room at finale and pose briefly there with her girls. This is the shot she wanted. Vogue had the exclusive.”
