In his book Somebody, author Stefan Kanfer recounts director John Huston – who would later direct Marlon in Reflections in a Golden Eye - watching Brando as Mark Antony in MGM’s Julius Caesar. His comment still rings true: “It was like a furnace door opening—the heat came off the screen. I don’t know another actor who could do that.” Indeed!
