Simple and pefect exposure of a personal and familiar drama inside a bigger social one: demovilization after WW II. Madison's character is moving trying to tell and shout his war stories to a mother that doesn´t want to hear. McGuire as a nonsense girl is ok. I prefer Mitchum selfdestructive tahn solid. It has a sexy look on handsome Guy.
