An average movie

For some reasons, I was really eager to check this movie for many years and I guess it was because I have a weak spot for Richard Gere and Sharon Stone. Anyway, after all these years, it wasn't really worth the wait, I'm afraid. I mean, it wasn't completey awful, I actually liked the story about this man torn between two women and, for once, I did like the gimmick of the main character randomly re-living some memories with each woman. However, pretty much everything else was really weak though. Indeed, the whole thing had the quality of a TV drama, even the cheesy soundtrack seemed to be 10 years older. On top of that, I keep saying it over and over again, Sharon Stone is actually a rather unconvincing actress but, here, even though she did sound terribly off in some scenes, I have to admit that she was decent from time to time, however, she wasn't even the worst thespian here though. No, in my opinion, Richard Gere was just really terrible. Basically, it is one of these films where Gere just brings his pretty face but actually seems to forget that he is supposed to be acting. Indeed, everything he did or said just sounded terribly fake to me. Anyway, to conclude, even though the whole thing had some potential, it just didn't work at all and I don't think it is really worth a look.
