Honestly, it has been a while since I have seen this movie but I actually remember it very well. Indeed, back then, Bernie Bonvoisin (who was originally the lead singer of ‘Trust’, the most famous French heavy metal band ever) had suddenly become one of the most interesting French directors at the time thanks to his first movies (‘Les démons de Jésus’ and ‘Les grandes bouches’) which were both really well received. For his 3rd directing effort, Bonvoisin was going for something much more ambitious and since the whole thing seemd to be really cool, I even went to see it in the movie theater when it was released. Unfortunately, I was awazed about how weak the whole thing was and it must have been one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen. I mean, there was a great cast including some of the best French actors at that time, a new up coming director so what happened ? It just flopped and deservedly. Basically, the story was a mess, the jokes were not funny and the whole thing was pretty much worthless. To conclude, it was just too bad because the whole thing really had some potential but it turned out to be a really lame picture and I don’t think it is worth a look, even if you are interested in French movies.
