An average movie

To be honest, I find it rather difficult to judge this flick. Indeed, like most of the video-game movie adaptations, the whole thing had a really lousy reputation so I was an expecting something pretty terrible. And yet, it was one of those cases that I was expecting something so bad, that I end up actually being positively surprised by the movie. I mean, sure, it is not a good movie at all but it was not as bad as I expected, that's all. I don’t know, maybe it has to do with the fact that, even though I’m familiar with the video-game, it was never a favorite of mine so this movie couldn’t possibly let me down. On top of that, ‘Doom’ might be a fun game to play but, to be honest, it seems that the concept is just too limited to build up a satisfying story, at least, that’s my opinion. Eventually, even though I thought that Dwayne Johnson was pretty badass here, apparently, he stated that the whole thing was a complete failure. Anyway, to conclude, even though it was slightly better than I expected , it still remains a very generic action flick with nothing original and I’m not sure it is really worth a look.
