An average movie

Basically, it is a really obscure French animated feature and, to be honest, I have no idea how I ended up watching this flick. I guess it was on TV and I thought it would be a nice feature to watch with the kids. Unfortunately, I thought the whole thing was just terribly underwhelming. I mean, I have always been impressed by the legacy of the French cinema. Indeed, I think it is a dynamic movie industry which has delivered movies in all kind of genres and some really amazing masterpieces ever since this medium has been invented. However, if there was one genre where the French never really impressed me, it would be in the animation department. I mean, they did produce a few gems (‘Le roi et l’oiseau’, ‘Astérix et Cléopatre’, ‘La ballade des Dalton’) but those flicks are mostly some childhood favorites and, above all, they have been made more than 30 years ago. This movie is a perfect example. Indeed, the animation was decent but nothing really amazing but, above all, I was just really bored by the whole thing. Eventually, maybe it can be nice watch for some very young children but otherwise, you'd better pass on this one.
