An average movie

To be honest, it is a really osbcure feature so I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the damned thing but since there was an interesting cast, I thought I might as well give it a try. Eventually, they were indeed some nice actors in this (Forest Withaker, Sherylin Fenn, Lois Chiles, James Belushi and Sharon Stone) but the movie was just pretty average. Basically, it is a rather cheap indie feature which tries to convince you that it is actually pretty quirky and clever but I wasn’t really convinced though. At least, I have to admit it, I did like Forest Withaker's performance. I mean, sometimes, this guy gets some really harsh critics but I think the problem is more with the movies that he chose (some of them are indeed some major stinkers) than with his actual acting skills. Concerning Sharon Stone, it is completely different story though. I mean, I always had a weak spot for this actress but, to be honest, I always had my doubts about her actual acting skills and this movie is a fine example. Indeed, a year later, she would get finally her breakthrough with ‘Basic Instinct’ and, in this movie, she was just there for 5 or 10 minutes but I thought she gave a really weak performance. To conclude, I didn’t like this flick very much and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
