Fool's Gold was an extremely entertaining and fun to watch movie. Sure, it had some downfalls and plot gaps, but overall I really do think that it was worth seeing.
This flick centres around a soon to be divorced couple, who after one of them finds just the start to a huge adventure, come together again to seek out this ancient treasure. This sort of idea has been done before, and there are some times in the plot that seem familiar to a typical movie like this. But it is saved by somehow being hugely entertaining and hystericaly funny in some parts.
Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson together again was a great choice, they have great chemistry and each really became their character. Donald Sutherland was slightly better than average for what you'd expect from a role like that. Alexis Dziena was hilarious! At parts in the movie that really needed a 'lift', she provided a great joke. Ewen Bremner and Ray Winstone were also nice additions to the cast.
I'd recommend this to anyone in the mood for a laugh and an entertaining couple of hours.
