Review of Bad Asses on the Bayou

The first one was alright. The second one sucked. I can't not finish a series once I've started it though. I also do like Danny Trejo and who knows maybe this one will actually be alright. You never know unless you try. I do like the addition of John Amos, but even Danny Glover didn't make the second one any better. I never paid attention to these things before, but no wonder these suck. They are all directed by terrible Craig Moss whose only other 3 films are all really awful parodies. So it starts off quite silly as expected. Then a little later we get a silly fight after a scenario I found kind of ridiculous. I think I know what the twist is already, but hopefully it surprises me by taking a different route. Well looks like I was absolutely right about the twist. That's very disappointing. The shootout near the end was bad ass (pun intended). That scene was pretty much the only bad ass thing in the whole movie. Everything else here was just kind of bland or silly (not in a particularly good way). Despite it being predictable and somewhat ridiculous I think this may have been the most enjoyable of the trilogy.

Pros:
-Danny Trejo the master of cheesy movies
-The addition of John Amos
-A few decent fight scenes
-It's probably the best of the three
-A few funny little jokes

Cons:
-Extremely predictable twists
-Some scenarios are ridiculous and just plain nonsensical
-Loni Love is really lame here
-Needed more of John Amos badassness

This isn't a good movie. It's quite dumb, but I would say it's watchable. If you can get past the cheesiness and predictability of this you may like it. You may even like it if you were a big fan of the first two. Other than that I say skip out on this one.
