Hilarious smart crossover

Since I heard about the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover, I was really excited. To hear my two favourite adult cartoons would be interacting with each other. And I was not disappointed, in this crossover, you get so much more than the Griffins going to Springfield and meeting the Simpsons! Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and Stewie (Seth MacFarlane) make prank calls and do skateboarding together, James Woods meets James Woods and Homer (Dan Castellaneta) chicken fights Peter (Seth MacFarlane)!

This crossover has all sorts of funny or clever ideas and dialogue such as Peter's comic strip, them not knowing what state Springfield is in, the jokes about the different skin (Peter not drinking the water because everyone appears to have hepatitis, while Homer greets the Griffins as his albino visitors), Peter telling Homer how to do a cutaway gag and so on. The court scene really got me though! Despite some of the discriminant themes ( the homosexual Bruce being accused as a pale imitation of Smithers and African Americans Carl (Hank Azaria) and Cleveland (Mike Henry) together), this also featured a perfect cameo from a very famous cartoon character, as the judge!

On the other hand, it's not so surprising that the crossover got mixed reviews. Critics were negative about the episode being written entirely by Family Guy and nothing from The Simpsons as well as the many adult scenes such as Peter and Homer's fight and their erotic car wash, which were said to be inappropriate for younger fans of The Simpsons. These scenes were inappropriate but then The Simpsons isn't a kid's show either! And actually while these scenes were inappropriate, most of them were still pretty funny!

You ought to see The Simpsons Guy for yourself and if you have, did you love it, or did you think it was the Worst. Episode. Ever ? Some like it, some don't like it but I really enjoyed it! A hilarious smart crossover
