A fun ride

After watching ‘Grindhouse’, I thought I might as well check out this full version as well. Indeed, since 'Grindhouse' was a flop in North America, they decided to release the movies separately in the rest of the world which was a terrible mistake, in my opinion. Indeed, even though 'Planet Terror' was, in my opinion by far, the best part in 'Grindhouse', I thought this full version was rather disappointing and completely unnecessary. Basically, it didn't add anything really interesting to the story and, in my opinion, there was barely no difference between the short version displayed in ‘Grindhouse’ and this longer version. On top of that, even though it was quite entertaining the first time around, I’m not sure if it really required a 2nd watch. Still, it remains was a fun ride, no doubt about it. Indeed, obviously, the whole thing was completely over-the-top but it was supposed to be that way. As I mentioned before, I think it is really better than ‘Death Proof’ but if you have the choice, you should watch ‘Grindhouse’ instead because that’s how those movies were supposed to be watched in the first place. To conclude, even though I think this movie is completely unnecessary, it is actually pretty cool and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
