Review of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

This movie has two characters
On the one hand, is a superstar whose fame has entered the realm of popular legend and the (inflated) adventures of moving to the known 'Threepenny Novels', which gradually matures and begins to perceive the world with another eye now tired of the life to do, conscious. On the other hand, nobody comes, the whole kid who loves his life a living legend, who wants to look like, wants to make itself known, and still sees life with his adolescent eyes. The relationship between them is puzzling, catalyst, complementary. Why, since he admired so much by Robert Ford decided to kill his idol? Or because, as the Jesse James suspicious of everyone, this ambitious empase kid home, giving him the perfect opportunity?
Fortunately, Dominik no hurry to give clear answers. By direction of the elegiac, poetic, and non dramatic patiently sculpts elaborate these two individuals trying to understand the inner motivations. And, as you do this, it gives the opportunity for all staff to shine from the substantive interpretations of Pitt, Affleck and Rockwell to the excellent representation of the era of Troy Sizemore and Martin Gendron, and the brilliant photography of Roger Deakins to the evocative music of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis
