Having received the directing prize at Cannes Film Festival, the «Cache»-like other movies by director, addresses the issue of violence in everyday heroes. The Haneke, this time avoiding the 'excesses' of «Funny Games», again takes the form of a thriller, and gradually unravel the secrets of the protagonist and links so loose with some truth that the entire French society wants to bury or simply forget. And in this case search and discovery of truth is not of great importance as the focus lies on anyone who says to himself and others to feel himself better. Excellent performances by both Daniel Auteuil and from Juliette Binoche. But what stands out most is the enigmatic finale of the film open to many interpretations and is sure to be thought and generate questions about what really happened.
