A lame movie

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick but, somehow, I still ended up watching it. When I was a kid, I thought the cartoon was pretty cool and, in fact, I didn’t even know what it was partially created by Jean Chalopin, a french guy who was responsible for some of the coolest cartoons released in the 80’s (The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Ulysses 31, The Littles, The Care Bears, Heathcliff, Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors, Dennis the Menace, MASK). Eventually, the cartoon was not really one of the my favorites anyway but , compared to this live-action version, it was actually pretty damned amazing. Indeed, this movie really bored me to death and you might wonder if live-action was actually the best format for this concept since it made the whole thing looked completely lame and stupid. I mean, even the always dependable Rupert Everett was able to save this and the whole thing about his character (Dr. Claw) is that you never see his face but just his arm, pretty much a trademark of the cartoon, but they just really ruined this. Anyway, the whole thing was just terribly underwhelming and it is really not worth a look whatsoever.
