An average movie

To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but even though I had never heard of it before, since I found it on DVD for a cheap price, I thought I might as well check it out. Eventually, even though it was nothing really amazing, I must admit that it was not bad at all after all. Indeed, I really liked the mood and the actors were pretty good. There was indeed an interesting cast (Brendan Fraser, Mos Def, Scott Glenn, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Alice Braga) and they all delivered some decent performances. Above all, it was neat to see two of the most lovely and talented actresses from South America, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Alice Braga. Maybe I only had a problem with Brendan Fraser since he wasn’t really convincing. Basically, I always thought Fraser was rather obnoxious but, at least, this time, I have to admit it, he did try something completely different than his usual moronic comedies. But still, his performance didn't really blow me away. So, the whole thing isn't really flawless and, sometimes, the story was a little weak but, all in all, it remains a moody and entertaining thriller and even though it is nothing mind-blowing, it is definitely worth a look.
