An average movie

Basically, it is a really obscure movie (I was only the 3rd listal member who actually did rate the damned thing) and the main reason I wanted to check it out was because Michael Sheen was involved. In fact, this flick was directed by Damien O'Donnell, an Irish director who got his breakthrough with ‘East Is East’. After this movie, he would make ‘Rory O'Shea Was Here’ which was really impressive but, unfortunately, it would be his last full length feature and he hasn’t done much during the following 10 years which was really too bad. Anyway, coming back to our main feature, even though it never seemed to be anything really ground-breaking, the beginning was actually quite promising and I really liked the rather dark humor. Unfortunately, the lack of ambition which was at first rather refreshing started to bother me at some point and the story and the characters were eventually not really interesting or entertaining enough, I’m afraid. Basically, I kinda of lost interest for the whole thing after a while. Still, to conclude, I thought it was a decent watch and I think it is worth a look, especially if you are interested in Michael Sheen’s work.
