Review of John Wick

When I saw the premise for this I actually wanted to see it. A movie centered on a man who is taking revenge on those who killed his dog. Nobody likes seeing the dog die in movies so it's always more comforting seeing the antagonists biting the dust for their evil deeds. Of course this will have many cliches as it's a Keanu Reeves driven action thriller. What else would you expect? The directors here have been in a few action films, but this is the first time directing for both of them. The gunplay in this is freaking badass and intense. It's interesting to see a little bit of fighting/martial arts mixed in with shooting makes for something quite unique and fun. I have to say this is by far one of Keanu Reeves best characters. Wow Theon Greyjoy was such a douchebag here. This is such a dude movie. I loved it from beginning to end. I was truly impressed by this one. Yes it's cliche and cheesy, but it's got a cute little storyline wrapped with a ton of brutal violence. If you love action and Keanu Reeves I highly recommend checking this one out.
