To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Renée Zellweger, I thought I might as well give it a try. By the way, what the hell happened to Zellweger during the last decade?!? Not only she has a lost her A status (in fact, she hasn’t make a movie during the last 6 years) but her looks have drastically changed recently and she has become pretty much unrecognizable. Anyway, coming back to our main feature, to be honest, the more I think about this movie, the more I think I should actually lower my rating. I mean, I did like it, it was well done and the actors delivered some decent performances but, at the end of the day, I can’t help thinking that Miss Potter wasn’t really such a fascinating character. In fact, I think this movie is a good example of the downward spiral occurring in Zellweger's career as, at the time, she kept getting involved in such supposedly high profile pictures which eventually didn’t get much attention after all. Anyway, to conclude, I guess I enjoyed it mostly thanks to the always dependable Ewan McGregor and even though it is definitely not a masterpiece, I guess it is still worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
