Review of American Sniper

I definitely knew this was something I would be watching soon after it came out. Bradley Cooper is such an amazing well rounded actor. In fact everyone really pulls their own weight here no matter how small or pivotal their roles are. This was a brutal movie that goes deep into one world famous snipers mind. We see the trauma of war that messes with his psyche at home. There are moments where you aren't sure what will happen or maybe you just hope the outcome will not be what your expecting. It's a pretty gritty look at war violence and it's effect on those involved directly and indirectly. This did have a few humorous lines and scenes, but it's an otherwise very serious emotional movie. I think this movie really did justice for Chris Kyle. This was the first time a movie ended and I heard nothing but silence. There was no music and everyone was so speechless as they left. That's how you know you just watched a masterpiece when no one really knows what to say, but everyone knows it was amazing. I highly recommend everyone go see this. I think it captured everything so well. Clint Eastwood really outdid himself with this in my opinion. I won't be surprised if this gets a few Oscars.
