Review of Into the Woods

This is another one I caught at the movie theater. I pretty much was excited to see it for Anna Kendrick and Johnny Depp. It also looked fairly interesting and even contains quite an interesting cast besides the aforementioned. The music is quite catchy and I think everyone sounded amazing. There was one song that would make adults uncomfortable (well I was anyways) given the subtext, but I'm sure the kids won't notice the creepy tone of it. I thought all the stories were quite interesting although I feel some didn't get much in detail. There were some really hilarious scenes particularly "Agony" the duet between the prince brothers. It even had some sad moments I didn't see coming since I never watched the play. I do think sad moments are a thing Disney adores so it really isn't all that surprising. The acting was quite good and silly in the best of ways. I thought it was really fun and definitely something I would watch again.
