Harvest's time to begin...

"The Bone Season" was one of those books that I wanted to have on my shelf, so I bought, read and absolutely no regrets, and I even venture to say that I’m delighted and certainly positively surprised.

I'll start by saying that I rarely met in this type of literature with such an interesting main character. Paige is a tall blonde, which already was for me the big surprise, because most authors, as I could notice, prefer girls with dark hair (Katniss Everdeen, Juliet from Tahereh Mafi trilogy, Ruby from The Darkest Minds, Risa Ward from Unwind, Teresa and Brenda from Dashner’s trilogy). In addition, the character was quite strong, with an impressive character, at least for me. I followed events with pleasure and all her thoughts, far from being cloying, she seemed to be determined, confident, sometimes lost, but ready for action and sober thinking and focusing on what is important, so she seemed to me pretty damn alive and reliable . And that's a big plus. The downside were the characters of the second plan, I didn’t feel with them a closer contact. I had the impression that some of them just 'were'.

With respect to the books and action... start was terribly hard to wade. We are struck in the face large amount of information about the world in which the author wants to introduce us, that at least I felt totally overwhelmed, and sometimes even resigned, it was hard to comprehend so many aspects, I still refer to the glossary, retreated back a few pages, in my head appeared literal chaos. But the further I go into the world created by the author, the more entangled in her vision, until at some point, this story possessed me and I found myself on the fact that all day I walk around the house with the book in my hand and I use every possible chance to look into it. And the world described by the author was really interesting, and above all precise, contain a lot of detail and it was clear that it was well thought out.

Another fascinating thing was the relationship between Paige and Warden. Sometimes it seemed to me that they could sit for hours in a room and just talk, and I don’t lose my interest. I really felt all that was going on between them.

In conclusion, I’m very happy that this story will be continued, fascinated me the world presented by the author, it took a lot of time getting to know it, but thanks to it I think it will be for long in my memory.
