Review of Men, Women & Children

I didn't know anything about this movie until I saw it at the theater I work at. The cast is a pretty interesting mixture and I've liked most of Jason Reitman's works so far so I decided to go ahead and watch it. Then it starts off with music playing from The Voyager in space where no sound should be heard so it's already lost points for that. So this is just another sexual comedy, but it involves internet and social medias. I kind of like when movies have the screen of someones phone pop up to show what's on it rather than making us stare at their screen. The acting is pretty good. I think Adam Sandler usually grows a beard for his more serious roles. We have several different stories here that are all interconnected. Some of which are pretty disturbing like the anorexia character and the mother/daughter who have an undesirable modeling website that neither understands the repercussions of. I didn't really like the way it ended. I think it sort of just ended when everything climaxed. I guess it made sense to the story, but it just wasn't the way I thought it should have been done. It was an interesting watch, but it could have been so much more.
