Even though this movie is really obscure and even though it was actually rather poorly received when it was released in France, I was really eager to check it out and I think it took me at least 10 years to see the damned thing. The saddest thing is that it was actually rather weak. The situation could be compared to Guy Ritchie's who went directing 'Swept Away' after 'Snatch'. Indeed, Richet's previous directing effort was 'Ma 6-ter va crack-er', one of the most intriguing French movies of the 90's and this follow-up was quite a step down. I mean, it wasn't completely awful, the realistic sociale background was actually well developed but, unfortunately, the whole thing was just poorly written. Indeed, with a very short running time (barely above 70 minutes), they didnโt really provide a plot but more a combination of rather underwhelming sub-plots and the fact that the dialogs were really weak didnโt help either. Honestly, you wonder what they wanted to achieve here. On top of that, even though Virginie Ledoyen was quite charming as usual, the obnoxious attitude of her character made it rather difficult to root for her. To conclude, even though the whole thing actually had some potential, it was rather disappointing and I don't think it is really worth a look.
