Review of Jinn

I saw the trailer for this and thought it was an interesting concept. It even has Ray Park who I always enjoy on-screen. The execution of this take on mythology is fairly interesting to keep your attention. I think the imagery and the CGI is quite unique and well put together. As I stated before about Ray Park is proven right once again. It's kind of cheesy and feels somewhat Bollywood with a couple of Hollywood actors thrown into the mix. Whenever they show the car it feels like a commercial to bring our attention to buying one. I have to say I have never seen a car chase with a "spirit" before. There is an interesting little twist near the end. Shawn is actually a pretty cool character. That ending before the credits started was so cheesy I had to shake my head in dismay! Just when this movie was going to be considered really badass too. There are two additional scenes one midway and another at the end. Neither of them are necessary or make any sense. Unless you want to get a little more of Ray Park I say just skip the credit scenes. It's an okay movie, but at times it's pretty cheesy.
