Review of Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort

Okay so yes there are 6 of these and I have liked the first four. Although part 5 was pretty crappy and ridiculous I decided to check this out anyways. I mean it can't be worse than that load of crap. I have only seen a teaser trailer and not much else. That alone is good as it doesn't give anything away for the story. I mean not there is much mystery if you know the series. This is also directed by Valeri Milev who has a movie coming out eventually called Re-Kill which I am super excited about. That alone gives me some hope. So it starts off decent enough with one alright kill and one that was actually kind of different and messed up. In fact some of the kills were actually kind of creative. Some of the characters are actually interesting and not your typical poorly developed characters. I mean it looks like they at least tried to make an interesting plot. One rule of horror films is never mess with a crazy person. It will always bite you in the ass. I think this definitely took notes from part 5 as what not to do in your film. Okay so some of costumes look really awkward particularly Jackson's outfit. The thought the hunting scene was well filmed. I did find it interesting that it actually gives us time to know the main characters instead of killing people before the even develop. We still get a fair share of kills throughout which is good of course. There is definitely a lot more in the nudity department than the previous films which is used mostly to keep your attention when it starts to drag a little. It helps that the women are pretty hot particularly Jillian who has probably one of the most twisted deaths of the movie. It's definitely one of the most disturbing of the entries. I have to say I didn't expect it to end the way it did. It's definitely much better than part 5 in my opinion. If you enjoy the Wrong Turn series you will like this one too. It even leaves way for a possible sequel which will most likely happen as long as people are still willing to make one. It did surprise me. I mean it's by no means the best, but it's entertaining.
