Review of Not Cool

When the biggest stars you have are a wrestler and a Youtube star you must expect the worst. The only thing worse than that is the Youtuber being the director as well. I watched the trailer for this and Shane Dawson trying to play a romantic lead in a dramedy is an awful idea. Anyways I decided to check this out to see just how horrible it is and to warn those if it is as awful as it looks. At times it's a little funny and other times it's just really awkward. It's definitely highly inappropriate and full of gross out humor, but if you are familiar with Shane Dawson that shouldn't be surprising. The weird friend Joel makes me uncomfortable every time he is on-screen. I have to say the girls in this are quite attractive. I wonder what it is about low budget movies that attract good looking women. The parts with Aunt Flo and the one with the Watermelon were my favorite parts. Of course Degrassi is mentioned as it was parodied by Shane multiple times. I'm sure this will hit with his regular audience, but for most other people this will probably be a load of crap. That being said I actually thought the ending was adorable and well done. It's a cute story, but most of it was ridiculous and over the top. It could have been much better without the unnecessary gross body humor.
