First of all, I have noticed something rather interesting about this feature. Indeed, on this website, there are already 24 reviews for this movie! That’s a huge number and, even if you think that this movie is completely worthless, you have to acknowledge the fact that it did inspire people, some way or another. Anyway, after hearing so many bad things about this flick, I thought it would be really awful but, to be honest, I thought it was in fact not bad at all after all. Obviously, the action scenes and the special effects were pretty lame but it was obviously not the purpose of this movie. Indeed, I actually enjoyed the struggle between their feelings for each other and the fact that he is a vampire. Of course, they could or should have developed more the other characters and it would have been much more interesting to develop the feelings and minds of all the characters involved instead of getting into all these boring actions scenes and super powers. Eventually, what bothered me the most was the fact that some stuff didn't make much sense. For example, when Bella discovers that the guy is a vampire, shouldn't she freak out a little bit more ? Anyway, to conclude, it was certainly not a masterpiece whatsoever but I don't think it does deserve all the hatred either and I think it is actually worth a look, at least, if you like the genre.
