Review of Saints Row: The Third

Saints Row the Third has got to be the single most bizarre game I have ever played. Its like GTA on acid. And I like it.

The player takes the role of "The Boss", with customizable appearance, voice, and gender - though this serves no real purpose, since noone acknowledges any unique traits in The Boss. Still, picking out the right hair and outfit is a game in itself (as far as I'm concerned, anyway), and Saints Row has plenty more to offer, in terms of storyline, gameplay, music, and general wierdness.

The open world offers the player the opportunity to explore all of Steelport, and to play the game at ones own pace. It is impossible to get a Game Over; if you die, you are revived at the nearest hospital, if you fail a mission, you will just have to do it over.

Saints Row the Third is worth playing several times, and offers plenty of stuff to explore beyond the main plot; like completing certain challenges, and unlocking special outfits and items.

Theres tons of humour (some of it funny, some of it lame), and crazy, do-not-try-at-home stunts, as well as an appearance of Burt Reynolds.
