An average movie

Following the failure that was ‘Superman Returns’ (in my opinion, it wasn’t really so bad, especially if you compare it to something really awful like the recent ‘Fantastic Four’), it seems that both Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey both managed to get away without much damage but you can't say the same for Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth as their respective career apparently never really recovered from the blow. Concerning Bosworth, this movie was the first one she made afterwards and it was in fact a perfect example of what she would do in the following decade which was basically showing up in some really obscure and not really interesting indie features that barely anyone watched at all. I mean, coming back to our main feature, it was in fact not bad and I thought it was rather well made with a very good performance delivered by Sigourney Weaver. Unfortunately, the story was really not focused enough and, eventually, the whole thing didn’t know where to go, I’m afraid. This issue was above all really obvious with the end which was seriously underwhelming. To conclude, in spite of these flaws, it was still a decent watch and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
