Html Rulez d00d--Plagues

The Devil Wears Prada strike back with their "Chainsaw brutality/tornado strength" and send it to the metalcore masses. Now considered a "big deal" album in the Christian metal scene, Plagues is still a top album.

These 10 tracks should make you want to send plagues in the most brutal way around the world. Mike Hrancia's vocals are raw and sure to bring demise to your hearing. The artwork is just spectacular and suits the album perfectly. He even consider's the album "visually appealing".

The first track Goats On A Boat, gives you like 2 seconds of silence into one crazy intro of dissonance. There's even technical ABR style riffs in this song. It's the cat's pjs for sure. "Hey John, What's Your Name Again" has a classy super chorus and it's quite melodic. IT jumps right into "Don't Dink and Drance", which is one of the most explosive tracks on the record and ironically talks about the ridiculousness of "torturing" oneself with cigarettes. One nasty breakdown occurs at the end of the song..oh man1 I get crazy just thinking about it!

Plagues will be heard for many years to come and will inspire many, it inspired me I know that for sure. They pioneered the keyboard-tech-driven-chorus singing brutal death metal, that hundreds fail to come close to. Long Live THe Devil Wears Prada!
