I stumbled upon this album, after hearing "The Truth" by Bleeding Through. With at least 4 listens, I believe this is my favorite album by them.
The songs may not be "catchy", however this emotional metalcore fest is quite memorable. Brandon's vocals are not as high pitched, like on their 2 new releases "Declaration" and "Bleeding Through". They're more diverse. The lyrics are very interesting, great yet dark. I do not enjoy songs that bring you "down", so to speak, but these songs differ with creativity and non-suicidal.
Guitars and keyboard are exceptional and truly genre defining. When I think of metalcore, I think of a few bands: KillSwitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Demon Hunter and Bleeding Through. This album is worth listening to and has given me some inspiration for some killer song ideas. Killer album fools!
