Review of Oculus

This caught my interest with it's trailer being eerie and not giving away anything. After watching it I feel it was a mixture of Mirrors, Insidious, and Amittyville Horror. It was an interesting concept, but most of it was pretty boring. The acting was great it was just missing the push it needed to actually be a more than decent movie. Some sequences throughout did flair up my attention, however, I just couldn't sit still watching this. It was hard to keep focused on the storyline when they kept going back and forth in the story. For some movies that works, but for this one it was just annoying. I did however find the idea of the past and present mixing together to be the only part of that to be a good idea. The ending was crazy and made this a little better than I was first thinking. Anyways it's an okay film that's about it.
