To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Robin Williams, I thought I might as well check it out. Eventually, the whole thing turned out to be really painful to watch as it was even worse than I expected. Indeed, I really like Robin Williams and I think he can be really funny but this movie was just terribly underwhelming. I mean, obviously, the whole concept was already lame to start with but, to make things worse, the character played by Williams was just really despicable and obnoxious. I mean, as they really messed up this character who was not funny at all but rather cringe-inducing to behold, the whole thing was completely hopeless and not entertaining whatsoever. Concerning Mandy Moore and John Krasinski, at least, they were both quite charming and they had some decent chemistry but the whole thing was in fact not really about them and their chemistry was not nearly enough to save this movie. To conclude, I really didn’t like this movie at all, it was just really weak and I don’t think it is worth a look, even if you are interested in Robin Williams’s work.
