Tim Allen directed 'Crazy on the Outside'; a comedy movie about a former criminal who is released from prison and realises his life is 'crazy on the outside', as the title says
Holy crap! This comedy went crazy in badness! I laughed at about one line in the whole movie:
"Get out of here, before I kick your car to pieces!"
But otherwise, this is the kind of comedy that could only entertain a "laughoholic" who laughs hysterically at every comedy including the bloody stupid ones! This is not an exception but it's easily one of the worst comedies ever!
The movie has an incredibly simple plot; Tommy (Tim Allen) a criminal, is released from prison to find that life is crazier on the outside than it is behind bars, then he starts working at a fast food restaurant Pirate Burger and develops two relationships - Christy (Julie Bowen) who is marrying Frank (Kelsey Grammer) and decides to love both and Angela (Jeanne Tripplehorn) a single officer who he tries to date!
The supporting cast are just so meaningless, they even had this absurd one-liner where Tommy hits Frank in the nuts (thinking Frank was going to hurt him) and says:
"Put the peas on his nuts!"
There are also a lot of scenes of absurd sexuality and unfunny jokes! This movie reunites Tim Allen with co-stars like Sigourney Weaver ('Galaxy Quest'), Ray Liotta ('Wild Hogs'), Kelsey Grammer ('Toy Story 2') and Julie Bowen from ('Joe Somebody') and with Tim Allen and just one of them would've almost certainly been better than this!
