An average movie

It is rather funny to read back the reviews of Roger Ebert concerning the older movies starring Jennifer Lopez such as ‘Out of Sight’, ‘The Cell’ or  even such weak features like ‘Angel Eyes’ and ‘Enough’. Indeed, in all these reviews, he really praised Lopez, even calling her ‘one of his favorite actresses’ at some point. After all these years, you kind of wonder what he actually saw in her as, even though she seemed to be rather promising for a short while, her acting career turned out to be terribly underwhelming after all. Anyway, with this in mind, to be honest, I didn't expect much before watching this flick but, I have to admit it, I was actually positively surprised by the damned thing. Above all, it was based on a very interesting and really shocking story. I have seen many weird stories before but this was really something else and the fact that it was based on some real events was even more mind-boggling. Unfortunately, even though the film itself was not bad, they didn't use the subject properly and during the last 15 minutes, it became a really stupid thriller which was just too bad. Still, in spite of its flaws, it though it was an interesting feature and it is definitely worth a look.
