Father Ted review

I wish it could continue...

'Father Ted' has to be one of my all time favourite shows! I love every episode from 'Good Luck, Father Ted' to 'Going To America', I love them all! And why do I love them all? I'll tell you;

Three priests Ted Crilly (Dermot Morgan), Dougal McGuire (Ardal O'Hanlon) and Jack Hackett (Frank Kelly) have been banished by Bishop Brennan (Jim Norton) to Craggy Island where they live with housekeeper Mrs Doyle (Pauline McLynn)

The title and lead character Ted is hilarious when he's on screen with Dougal or Jack; Dougal is incredibly stupid and Jack is a profanity addicted alcoholic who always shouts "Drink! Feck! Arse! Girls!" Mrs Doyle is quite hilarious too. The main characters always have funny dialogue.

And minor characters too including Father Larry Duff (Tony Guilfoyle) who is always having accidents when Ted is calling him, Father Dick Byrne (Maurice O'Donoghue); Ted's arch-nemesis on Rugged Island, Bishop Brennan; the bishop that banished the priests and hates them all, his name is Len and if Dougal calls him Len, he responds with "Don't call me Len, you little prick, I'm a bishop!" and Father Noel Furlong (Graham Norton) who is incredibly annoying but also hilarious!

The actors are just amazing especially Morgan who got the lead role after his appearances in 'The Live Mike' but sadly he died right after finishing the third series. Though everyone thinks that Morgan's death killed the 'Father Ted' series too, Morgan said he'd leave the show after the third series anyway

I wish it could continue, 'Father Ted' was so f*cking...

Sorry feckin' funny that it's impossible to forget. Only an idiot could hate 'Father Ted', only someone with no taste at all! This is one of the funniest shows ever and I wish they could do more!
