I caught this movie on Netflix. I mistakenly thought at first glance, it was another documentary with Ronald Defeo. He killed his family in the infamous Amityville house. In reality, it is about Daniel Lutz and the trauma/effect staying in the Amityville house as a child has had on his life until now. He also talks vehemently about the relationship he had with his stepfather, George Lutz. He explains that some of the scenarios in the films came from things that really happened while he was living there.
I liked the parts where old photographs of the house were shown the most and I did enjoy watching this film. I've watched The Amityville Horror starring James Brolin several times and also other documentaries about the story. This one was different in that I had not seen or heard Daniel Lutz talk before and his story was interesting to say the least. It's definitely a "whatever happened to" film.
I would recommend this film to people who are interested in paranormal activity, true stories, or horror trivia and obviously to Amityville Horror enthusiasts.
