What makes a good sequel is when you bring a lot of unique elements (or a continuation of the story). Here, the film brings modifications to the original story, but really, they are either meaningless or are given too little importance.
The main difference is the change of location, making the party-gone-bad happen in a private home rather than in school. Woo for the big change.
I have nothing to stay in terms of acting or filmmaking, but plot-wise, this movie brings nothing new to the story.
