disappointed

Rome, circa 470 A.D. The Roman Empire is weak. Young Romulus Augustus flees the city and embarks for Britain. He is searching for his "Last Legion", a legion of supporters.

Historical movies are always very difficult to judge, and rightly so, since they usually lack details of the depicted era, and this movie has those flaws. It is far from being perfect, or even good. It is rather an empty motion picture.

From the beginning, the plot is quite confusing - just like the book it is based on, written by Valerio Massimo Manfredi.

None of the actors (especially Ben Kingsley, Colin Firth and Thomas Sangster) are believable, unfortunately.

The story and its scenes are soooo predictable, it's pathetic.
The sound was lousy, and the music was so loud that it made it difficult to hear most of what was said.

Special effects are not even worth mentioning. There are better historical films that are worth watching. Even some historical B-movies might have been better!

The worst of the Last Legion is its ending. How "Hollywood" can it get!

Pure disappointment.
